Saving of certain rates

Charity distributions made to ordinary members shall be subject to the restrictions and charges on charity distributions in favour of charity distributions of service members and patron members.

Relevant note from the Explanatory Memorandum

267. This section provides that charity distributions to ordinary members are subject to restrictions and charges including charity distributions to service and patron members. The intention of this section is to entrench the rights of service and patron members, such as the right to receive charity distributions whenever the ordinary members receive the same.
