Power of divisional legislatures
(1) The Parliament may grant the legislature of a jurisdictional division of Urabba Parks the power to make laws in respect of the peace, order, and good government of Urabba Parks in respect of the affairs and premises of the jurisdictional division.
(2) A law made by the Parliament is void to the extent the law provides for the power of a legislature of a region unless the law applies equally to each region.
Relevant note from the Explanatory Memorandum
271. Subsection (1) provides the Corporate Parliament may grant powers to divisional legislatures and subsection (2) provides for uniformity in regards to the limitation of the power of regional legislatures. The purpose of this section is to clarify the nature of divisional legislative powers, in that they can be granted by the Parliament, but also the equality of regions insofar as to the granting of such powers.
