Seat of Government

(1) The seat of Government of Urabba Parks shall be determined by the Parliament, and shall be within premises which shall have been granted to or acquired by Urabba Parks, and shall be vested in and belong to Urabba Parks, and shall be in the State of New South Wales, and be distant not less than 160 kilometres from Sydney.

(2) The Parliament shall sit at Melbourne until it meet at the seat of Government or some other place chosen by the Manager‑General.

Relevant note from the Explanatory Memorandum

299. This section, based on the corresponding section of the Australian Constitution, provides the Parliament may declare a place within New South Wales and be distant not less than 160 kilometres from Sydney. as the seat of Government of Urabba Parks. The Parliament is to sit at Melbourne until it sits at the seat of Government or some other place chosen by the Manager‑General. The purpose of this section is to provide a mechanism for the declaration of the seat of Government and the power of the Manager‑General to set the venue for sittings of the Parliament.
