[[Constitution of Urabba Parks/Contents|Table]]|[[Constitution of Urabba Parks/Notes|Notes]]|[[Constitution of Urabba Parks/Section 152|Previous]]|[[Constitution of Urabba Parks/Schedule 1|Next]]|[[Constitution of Urabba Parks/Download|Download]]<br>{{Navbar|L=Constitution of Urabba Parks|Ch=9|Pt=3|Div=2|Sdiv=B|S=153}} = Novel charitable purposes = <span id="s1"></span>(1) Urabba Parks supports the expansion of charitable purposes to better reflect the needs of humanity and the environment. <span id="s2"></span>(2) If an object that is declared for the purposes of this subsection, being for the public benefit, is not a charitable purpose under the ''Charities Act 2013'', the objects of Urabba Parks shall not include the object but include the advocacy of the inclusion of the object as a charitable purpose, to the extent that it ultimately benefits a purpose that is currently a charitable purpose under the ''Charities Act 2013''. <span id="s3"></span>(3) The following objects are declared for the purposes of subsection (2): :<span id="par1a"></span>(a) the advancement of religion, where '''''religion''''' has the meaning affected by paragraph 3(2)(a) of the ''Charities Act 2011'' of the Parliament of the United Kingdom; :<span id="par1b"></span>(b) the advancement of citizenship or community development within the meaning of paragraph 3(2)(c) of the ''Charities Act 2011'' of the Parliament of the United Kingdom; :<span id="par1c"></span>(c) the provision of a public non-state jurisdiction; :<span id="par1d"></span>(d) the protection of the orbital and celestial environments, including by way of removal of space junk; :<span id="par1e"></span>(e) developing and maintaining astronomical and meteorological observations, space craft, satellites, space stations and extraterrestrial structures; :<span id="par1f"></span>(f) the provision of quarantine facilities, or support for quarantine and managed isolation facilities, for: ::<span id="par1f-i"></span>(i) Australian Citizens and permanent residents of Australia, their dependants and immediate family members; ::<span id="par1f-ii"></span>(ii) persons coming to Australia to receive or provide a health or educational service; and ::<span id="par1f-iii"></span>(iii) persons entering Australia for a compassionate or humanitarian purpose, or whose entry would be in the national interest. = <span id="EM"></span>Relevant note from the Explanatory Memorandum = 348. This section adopts ‘novel charitable purposes’ as objects. However, if an object that is declared for the purposes of this subsection, being for the public benefit, is not a charitable purpose under the ''Charities Act 2013'', the objects of Urabba Parks shall not include the object but include the advocacy of the inclusion of the object as a charitable purpose, to the extent that it ultimately benefits a purpose that is currently a charitable purpose under the ''Charities Act 2013''.
