Member of one House ineligible for other[edit | edit source]
A member of a House of the Parliament shall be incapable of being chosen or of sitting as a member of another House.
Relevant note from the Explanatory Memorandum[edit | edit source]

This section intends to confirm the separation of the Houses by preventing a person from being a member of more than one House.
