Yearly session of Parliament[edit | edit source]

There shall be a session of the Parliament once at least in every year, so that 12 months shall not intervene between the last sitting of the Parliament in one session and its first sitting in the next session.

Relevant notes from the Explanatory Memorandum[edit | edit source]

63. This section, based on the corresponding section in the Australian Constitution, provides that there must be at least one session of the Parliament every year.
