353. This Schedule&nbsp;sets out entrenchments&nbsp;and provides for what may be included in an entrenchment&nbsp;as entrenchable matter.  A note&nbsp;is included under the header to this Schedule&nbsp;referencing the fact the term ‘entrenchment’ is defined in subsection&nbsp;4(1) – the definition of an entrenchment&nbsp;is an item&nbsp;falling in the table in clause&nbsp;1 of this Schedule.  Under subsection&nbsp;128(1) amendment of laws and approval of acts falling in entrenchments&nbsp;requires approval from the members.
 
354. This clause&nbsp;includes the table of entrenchments.  Under the definition of ‘entrenchment’ in subsection&nbsp;4(1), each item&nbsp;in this table is an entrenchment. 
 
355. An entrenchment&nbsp;which is a letter is known as an ‘entrenching item’.  These entrenching items&nbsp;deal with amendments of the table of entrenchments&nbsp;itself, and other procedures relating to approval of entrenched matters generally, such as the requirement for a referendum in the case of a proposed law for an entrenched matter not passing each House of Parliament, and for certificates of reasonableness.  See clause&nbsp;2 (note&nbsp;357) for more information on how entrenchments&nbsp;are sorted, and for clarification on when an entrenchment&nbsp;falls in another entrenchment.
